1. COMPOSITION OF QIYOI COSMETICS
Do QIYOI cosmetics contain ingredients of natural origin?
All our cosmetics contain ingredients of natural origin from plants that, in many cases, we grow ourselves, such as moringa oil.
Are QIYOI cosmetics “cruelty-free”?
In the European Union, animal testing on cosmetic products was eliminated in 2013. This prohibition is included in article 18 of Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009 of the European Parliament and of the Council of November 30, 2009 on cosmetic products.
Neither QIYOI nor our manufacturing laboratory use any component that has been tested on animals, as well as our products, since it is prohibited throughout the European Union.
Why don’t QIYOI cosmetics incorporate the “cruelty free” rabbit seal?
Although QIYOI products are not tested on animals, as we have already reported, it is unethical to claim conduct that is prohibited by European legislation.
2. PRODUCT LABELING
What does the symbol (expiry) mean?
This symbol is called PAO (Period After Opening). It refers to the time in months that the product will remain in good condition after the consumer has used it for the first time. After this period of time, the product may lose its properties and/or may no longer be safe or effective.
This period is usually indicated with a number and the letter M, where M = month.
What does the symbol (little book) mean?
This symbol means “additional information”. It tells us that we have more information about the cosmetic product, in an outer packaging or in a brochure and that for reasons of space it could not be added to the product itself.
Where can you find the ingredients list?
The list of ingredients (INCI) can be found on the cosmetic product itself, on the container box and on the labeling. If this is not possible for reasons of size, it will be found on the outer packaging of the product, in a brochure or an attached booklet.
Where can the company’s contact details be found?
The contact details of the person responsible for QIYOI cosmetics can be found on the product itself. If for reasons of size it is not possible, they will be found on the outer packaging of the product, in a brochure or an attached booklet.
3. MANUFACTURING AND SAFETY
Are tests carried out in external laboratories?
QIYOI cosmetics are subjected to safety and efficacy tests in accredited external laboratories, including microbiological, dermatological and efficacy controls.
What quality controls do your cosmetic products pass?
All our cosmetics are governed by ISO 22716 Good Manufacturing Practices for cosmetics. From their initial development in the laboratory to their manufacturing, all QIYOI products go through a series of quality controls that verify and ensure that the product that reaches the point of sale meets the established stability and safety requirements.
Are QIYOI cosmetics suitable for sensitive and atopic skin?
STEP No. 1 Facial Cleansing Gel has been the only QIYOI cosmetic that has been subjected to a specific skin compatibility test for sensitive skin and passed it in 100% of the volunteers who carried out the test. The other four STEPS were analyzed on normal skin, also not generating any type of reaction in any of the volunteers. Therefore, in general, QIYOI cosmetics have very good skin tolerance.
If your skin is sensitive, start incorporating STEPS No. 3 and 4 (those that contain retinol) progressively, 2 or 3 times a week, until your skin gets used to it.
If your skin is atopic, consult your dermatologist before using QIYOI cosmetics, especially those that contain retinol, since they are special skin types that need specific care.
Can I use QIYOI cosmetics if I am pregnant?
Due to the use of retinoids, the use of STEPS No. 3 and 4 (eye contour and night serum) is not recommended during pregnancy. However, you can use STEPS No. 1, 2 and 5 (facial cleansing gel, revitalizing toner and moisturizing cream). However, we recommend always consulting your doctor before using any of our cosmetics.
Are they dermatologically tested?
All QIYOI cosmetics have passed a skin compatibility test under normal conditions of use, in an independent specialized laboratory supervised by a dermatologist. The result in the case of the five cosmetics that we currently market was “VERY GOOD SKIN COMPATIBILITY”.
What is the best way to store QIYOI cosmetics?
For proper maintenance of our cosmetics, we must avoid direct exposure to the sun and extreme temperatures, both high and low. Close the containers tightly after each use and keep the outlet hole clean.
Where can QIYOI cosmetics be purchased?
You can buy QIYOI cosmetics in our online shop. qiyoi.com
